Now, on to Halloween.  The fun began with Mylee's preschool party.  She was so excited to be a kitty- she communicated only with meows all morning.

The parade.
That evening was the elementary school's "Fall Carnival".  The school has been talking this event up for months.  The kid's were expecting nothing short of Disneyland (and so was I at $8 a head!).  Jena even asked me if there was going to be a Ferris wheel.  It was fun but shoulder to shoulder packed.
Ben and Mylee were pretty much spent at this point so my pictures are sub-par.  Jena was a princess (surprise!).  Her friends- which she tells me feel more like sisters- were Jesse (Bekah) and Cleopatra (Reagan).  These girls are actually sisters.
Scottie is a master at carnival games (he gets this from Mike).  He was running around winning prizes left and right...Oh, and he was Darth Vader (surprise again!).

The next night was the ward "Fire & Ice" chili and ice cream cook off/trunk or treat.  We have such a great ward.

Scottie's helmet was a huge hit.  It actually has a voice converter, breathes like Darth Vader, and says several Vader lines.  Best $5 I ever spent (yard sale).   All the little boys, (and not so little boys) thought they had to challenge him in light saber skills.
Such a good sister- Jena wanted the attentio...I mean to protect him.  By the way, the challenger's dad is from Midway-(from my parents ward none the less)- small world.

Ben's costume was the other hit of the night.  He has a natural Yoda face (he gets this from me).  I was so impressed that he would leave the hat on and carry the light saber around.  The pink princess is Mylee.  As soon as she saw Jena in her Princess dress, all satisfaction with her kitty costume vanished.  A borrowed dress (from Bekah and Reagan's mom) and, wallah, contentment again.

And that about covers it.  Happy Halloween!
