It was Fair Days while we were there for the Baptism- yea! Jena and Mymy were lucky enough to catch a ride on the Heber Handspringers flat-bed for the Parade. They LOVED it. Scottie opted for a seat on the sidelines to collect candy. Kassie always sets her chairs out at the park a day in advance so we get awesome seats! Things have changed since I was a kid...back then we had to start at one end of main street and when you reached the end, you turned around and marched the entire way back to where you started-- and the parade ran Friday night and Saturday morning. Now they just go the length of Main Street 1x, and only Saturday night. Smart. If you look close in the picture you can see Kaylie, Kelsi, Grant, Kyndra, Jena, Mymy...and Matt is driving the truck.

It's been such a wet year that the lake at the cabin didn't dry up at all this summer! It's a paradise for curious little explorers. Scottie always falls in. He and Abe were trying to ferry around on the dock and it tipped. Scottie came rushing into the cabin- worried about his Rockies hat.

Can you see Ron with Ben on his shoulders? He loves to take kids on nature walks. I love to have him take the kids on nature walks.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...Grandpa was taking his girls for a stroll.

Lexi is a big sweetheart. Jeff did such a good job with her. Jena and Lexi are the same age and ever since they were two their ritual has been: Jena holding one of Lexi's ears in each hand, raising them one at a time, and saying, "How do you do? How do you do? How do you do-do-do-do-do?"
